Mac is an Operating system of Graphical User Interface type introduced and Developed by Apple Inc. First version of Mac Operating system was introduces in 1984. It was referred as System software at that time, and was named as Mac Operating System in 1994. That was 7.6 version of it. And it was first system graphical user interface that was popularized. There are two major series of MAC Operating system. First One was introduced from 1984 to 2000 and named as Classic MAC OS., And the second series was released from 2000 to present and named as MAC OS X or OS X. They share some common application design and framework but have a different architecture.

MAC Operating system is popular due to a faster speed and complete compatibility with apple devices. And mostly used for educational purposes and home usage. MAC is used usually in UK and USA. But in Asian countries Windows Operating System powered by Microsoft Corporation is popular. MAC still needs a lot of work to do to compete Microsoft in the field of Operating system and software technologies as there is 71% business shares of Microsoft in market and only 29% of other Operating systems that includes MAC as well. But in Iphone IOS is making progress as compare to Windows Operating system. MAC is also not preferred by some users due to its complicated User Interface and Compatibility issues of some softwares.
